SAP BW is a continuous data warehousing solution that uses former SAP technologies. This SAP BW is built to level 3 and coded ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) language. This 3-tier architecture and code language uses ALE (Application Link and fax) and BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface) to connect your SAP BW and non-SAP systems.
BW BW architecture has three layers of it. BW Server is an intermediate layer has three functions: does the BW system, data stores and retrieves information. In the lower layer consists of source systems, which can be R / 3, BW systems, flat files, and other systems. The server includes the BW Administrator Workbench, Metadata Repository and Metadata Manager, the staging engine, PSA, ODS to XML and user roles.
